Publication. The journal was founded in 1978 by Imre Kátai, dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest, Hungary. In 2003 the journal was transferred to the newly established Faculty of Informatics of the university. One or two volumes are published annually. Access to full articles in the electronic edition is free of charge. The print version is also available.

Editorial policy. This journal publishes research and — in special cases — survey papers treating problems from a broad field of
applied mathematics and computer science written with mathematical
precision.
The areas of main interest are: number theory, computational number theory, classical analysis, classical numerical analysis, modern
theories of algorithms of approximation, optimization in deterministic and stochastic cases, modelling
and simulation, mathematical system theory, estimations of computational complexity, theory of automata, languages and system
programming, computer algebra.
Reviews of new books and open problems will be also published.
Instructions for authors.
All submissions must include a title page with the following elements:
title of the paper; author name(s) and affiliation; name,
address and email of the corresponding author; keywords;
2010 Mathematics Subject Classification;
an abstract clearly stating the nature
and significance of the paper.
In case of coauthors, they should be listed alphabetically by their last or family name,
regardless of their contribution to the manuscript.
References should appear in a separate bibliography at the end of the paper, with
items in alphabetical order referred to by numerals in square brackets. Please prepare your
submission as one single PDF file including all elements of the manuscript
(title page, main text, illustrations, bibliography, etc.).
Manuscripts must be submitted online to the Editorial Office.
The journal’s language is English.
For technical reasons we can only accept files in LaTeX format.
When your manuscript is accepted for publication, you will be asked to send the
paper using the style file of our journal.
